Kluge Center using the Library of Congress collections and resources for a period of up to eleven months. Scholars who have received a terminal advanced degree within the past seven years in the humanities, social sciences, or in a professional field such as architecture or law are eligible to apply. - Daland Fellowships in Clinical Investigation: The American Philosophical Society awards a limited number of Daland Fellowships in Clinical Investigation for research in the several branches of clinical medicine, including internal medicine, neurology, pediatrics, psychiatry, and surgery. The committee emphasizes patient-oriented research. The fellowships are designed for qualified persons who have held an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree for fewer than 8 years. Both US citizens and foreign nationals are eligible to apply. Candidates must be nominated. The fellowship term is 1 year and can be extended 1 additional year. - International Chinese Teacher Scholarship: To encourage students and Chinese language teachers all over the world to study Chinese or conduct research regarding the Chinese language and culture in China. - Kluge Fellowship in Digital Studies: The John W. Kluge Center at the Library of Congress in Washington, DC seeks proposals from scholars worldwide that will generate a deep, empirically grounded understanding of the consequences of the digital revolution on how people think, how society functions, and on international relations. The fellowship provides a residency of up to 11 months with a $4,200 per month stipend. Open to scholars and practitioners worldwide from all disciplines. - David B. Larson Fellowship in Health and Spirituality: The fellowship seeks to encourage the pursuit of scholarly excellence in the scientific study of the relation of religiousness and spirituality to physical, mental, and social health. The fellowship provides an opportunity for 6-12 months of concentrated use of the collections of the Library of Congress, through full-time residency in the Library’s John W. - Bord Bia Marketing Fellowship Programme (MSc International Marketing Practice): The Bord Bia Talent Academy offers a range of world-leading post-graduate opportunities including the MSc International Marketing Practice (Bord Bia Marketing Fellowship Programme). Each participant receives a fully-funded master’s from UCD Smurfit School, combined with real-world food industry experience, all while receiving a monthly scholarship bursary. - Smith Fellows Postdoctoral Fellowship in Conservation Research: The purpose of the Smith Conservation Research Fellowship is to create opportunities for leading conservation scientists to strengthen their skills through two years of applied post-doctoral research, supplemented by training programs, peer networking, and field learning experiences. Fellows build productive partnerships with conservation practitioners while contributing and communicating scientific knowledge about problems in conservation. The program develops future world leaders in conservation research and application through training and mentorship. - Colorado State University Fully Funded PhD in Chemical and Biological Engineering: Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO offers a fully funded PhD program in Chemical and Biological Engineering. Students have full access to state-of-the-art research laboratories and are encouraged to collaborate with the Colleges of Engineering, Natural Sciences, and the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. There are 5 main focuses for the PhD: polymer science, biological engineering, mathematical modeling, environmental engineering and transport phenomena. After selecting one of the above PhD students will work closely with a research advisor for the remainder of their degree. - Sloan Research Fellowships: The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation is awarding grants to be spent over a two-year term on any expense supportive of research. Awards are given to 126 researchers in recognition of their potential to revolutionize their field of study. The foundation seeks to stimulate fundamental research by early-career scientists and scholars of outstanding promise. Candidates must hold a tenure track position at a degree-granting college or university in the United States or Canada and hold a Ph.D. (or equivalent) in chemistry, computer science, economics, mathematics, neuroscience, earth system science, physics, or a related field. - The Gates Scholarship: The Gates Scholarship is a highly selective scholarship for exceptional, Pell-eligible, minority, high school seniors with a GPA of at least 3.3/4. Starting in 2018, the scholarship will be awarded to 300 top student leaders each year with the intent of promoting their academic excellence through college graduation and providing them the opportunity to reach their full potential. Scholars will receive funding for the full cost of attendance that is not already covered by other financial aid and the expected family contribution. - Library of Congress Fellowship in Congressional Policymaking: The John W. Kluge Center at the Library of Congress invites qualified scholars to apply for a post-doctoral fellowship in congressional policymaking with a special focus on legislative negotiations. Scholars who have received a terminal advanced degree within the past seven years in the humanities, social sciences, or in a professional field such as law are eligible. Applicants may be U.S. citizens or foreign nationals. - Philip Lee Phillips Society Fellowship: The John W. Kluge Center and the Philip Lee Phillips Society at the Library of Congress invite qualified scholars to conduct research at the Kluge Center using the Geography and Map Division collections and resources for two months. There are no degree requirements for applicants. - Memorial University Fully Funded PhD in Geology or Geophysics: Memorial University, based in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada offers a fully funded PhD in Geology or Geophysics. The Department of Earth Sciences offers PhD program in both Geology and Geophysics and involves courses, a comprehensive exam, and a thesis. The PhD can be completed in four years of full-time study. A Ph.D. student is eligible to receive $19,369 per year for four years in personal financial support. - University of Utah Fully Funded PhD in Geology, Geophysics, or Geological Engineering: The University of Utah, based in Salt Lake City, UT offers a fully funded PhD in Geology, Geophysics, or Geological Engineering. The department will consider applicants to all programs who have previously completed either a bachelor’s or master’s degree in geoscience or a related field. Within the department, there are many areas of research specialization. - Alexander von Humboldt Professorship: The Humboldt Professorship enables the holder to conduct forward-thinking, long-term research at universities and research institutions in Germany and makes a sustainable contribution to Germany’s ability to compete internationally as a location for research. The Foundation is keen to award more Alexander von Humboldt Professorships to women academics. The fellowship also focuses on Artificial Intelligence. Nominations may be submitted by German universities for exceptionally qualified world leaders in their fields who are established as academics abroad and would be eligible to be appointed to a professorship in Germany. - University of Mississippi Fully Funded Master’s in Physics: The University of Mississippi offers a fully funded Master’s in Physics. Offer exciting research opportunities in atmospheric physics, condensed matter physics, gravity, high energy physics, and physical acoustics. - LAF Fellowship for Innovation and Leadership: The LAF Fellowship for Innovation and Leadership is an opportunity for landscape architecture professionals to dedicate the equivalent of 3 months over one year to nurture emerging ideas and to think deeply. It is designed as a time to reflect, research, explore, create, test, and develop ideas into action. Each year, 3-4 mid-career and senior-level fellowships are awarded through a competitive application process based on a proposed project. Selected Fellows receive a $25,000 financial award and participate in three 2.5-day residencies over a year, as well as monthly conference calls. - Fulbright International Education Administrators Program: The International Education Administrators (IEA) seminars help U.S. higher education administrators establish lasting connections within the social, cultural and higher education systems of other countries. Selected administrators have the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge about the host country’s higher education system and establish networks of U.S. and international colleagues during a two-week fully funded visit abroad. - Teach For America Teacher Corps Program: Teach For America Teacher Corps is a national teacher recruitment program that aims to eliminate educational inequity by enlisting recent college graduates and professionals to teach for two or more years in low-income communities throughout the United States. Corps members come from all academic majors and career backgrounds. Corps members attend an intensive 5-week summer institute to prepare for their commitment and then are placed in schools in urban and rural areas. TFA teachers are full-fledged faculty members at their schools, receiving the normal school district salary and benefits. - Fulbright-Saastamoinen Foundation Award in Health and Environmental Sciences (Fulbright Finland): The Fulbright-Saastamoinen Foundation Grant in Health and Environmental Sciences is available for lecturing and research visits of 5-9 months at the University of Eastern Finland, Kuopio. Disciplines include Medical Sciences, Global Health, Pharmacy, Environmental Sciences, Environmental Health, Environmental and Medical Physics, Biosciences, and Nursing Science. - Fulbright-Masaryk University Distinguished Scholar (Czech Republic): Based at Masaryk University, Fellows will Teach a maximum of two courses at advanced undergraduate and graduate levels. The award is open in all the fields offered at Masaryk University. Award allowances are $6,000 per month. The estimated travel and relocation allowance for the grantee is $1,500. - Fulbright-Carlos Rico Award for North American Studies: This award intends to enhance collaboration among a community of scholars working on issues of relevance to the special trilateral relationship between the U.S., Mexico, and Canada. Projects across a broad range of disciplines are welcome. Proposals should reflect topics that would benefit from a trilateral perspective and demonstrate a need to spend time in both Mexico and Canada. Grantees may teach, engage in collaborative research, or combine both activities. Grants are from 4 months to an academic year, and time should be distributed equally between Canada and Mexico. - Fulbright Global Scholar Award: The Fulbright Global Scholar Award allows U.S. academics and professionals to engage in multi-country, trans-regional projects. As a truly worldwide award, U.S. scholars will be able to propose research or combined teaching/research activity in two to three countries with flexible schedule options; trips can be conducted within one academic year or spread over two consecutive years. - Fulbright-Schuman Postdoctoral Award at the European University Institute (Florence, Italy): The scholar selected for the Fulbright-Schuman Postdoctoral Award is expected to conduct their research through an affiliation with one of the EUI Departments (Economics, History and Civilization, Law, Political and Social Sciences) or the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies, which is devoted to interdisciplinary, comparative, and policy research on the major issues on the European integration process. - Fulbright-Schuman Innovation Award: The Fulbright-Schuman Innovation Award is designed to support research at the intersection of policy and technology that can improve the transatlantic understanding of issues at the heart of the US-EU relationship. Candidates are welcome to submit applications affiliated with any appropriate institutions, including European higher education institutions, governments, non-profit organizations, and think tanks. - University of Michigan Society of Fellows: The University of Michigan invites recent PhD graduates in the arts, sciences, and humanities to become resident postdoctoral scholars in the Society of Fellows. The Society of Fellows is an interdisciplinary intellectual community in which the postdoctoral fellows are joined by senior fellows to share their work in progress. Fellowship appointments are for 3 years and include an annual stipend of $63,000 plus benefits including health insurance and additional research funding. - Fully Funded MA in Human Rights and Democracy in South East Europe: The Global Campus South East Europe – European Regional Master’s Programme in Democracy and Human Rights in South East Europe is a one-year, full-time, interdisciplinary programme. Its aim is the development of democracy and human rights in South East Europe. It is a joint initiative by the University of Sarajevo and the University of Bologna. - Fertitta Veterans MBA Program at NYU: The Fertitta Veterans MBA Program for students in the two-year Full-time MBA is an innovative program specifically designed for U.S. military veterans and active duty students to support their transition to business school. This is a cohort-based summer program that includes significant scholarship support, a summer session with early access to coursework and immersive learning at regular corporate visits, and a special leadership curriculum woven into the MBA experience. - Presidential Management Fellows Program: The Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) program is a prestigious 2-year, full-time, paid fellowship at a Federal agency for recent graduate students seeking opportunities in federal government agencies. - NEH Summer Stipends: Summer Stipends support individuals pursuing advanced research that is of value to humanities scholars, general audiences, or both. Recipients usually produce articles, monographs, books, digital materials, archaeological site reports, translations, or editions. Summer Stipends provide $6,000 for two consecutive months of full-time research and writing. Recipients must work full-time on their projects for these two months and may hold other research grants supporting the same project during this time. - Roy H. Park Leadership Fellows Program: The Roy H. Park Leadership Fellows Program is a two-year full-tuition fellowship award for up to 25 students who have demonstrated outstanding leadership potential. - Charles B. Rangel International Affairs Graduate Fellowship Program: For those who want to become Foreign Service Officers in the U.S. Department of State, the Rangel Graduate Fellowship Program provides benefits of up to $95,000 over two years toward a two-year master’s degree, arranges internships on Capitol Hill and at U.S. embassies, and provides mentorship and professional development support. Fellows can use the fellowship to attend two-year master’s programs in U.S. institutions to study any area of relevance to the Foreign Service. - Atlantic Fellows for Equity in Brain Health Program: The Atlantic Fellows for Equity in Brain Health program at GBHI provides innovative training, networking, and support to emerging leaders focused on improving brain health and reducing the impact of dementia in their local communities and on a global scale. Fellows should demonstrate a commitment to brain health and health care policy, as well as an ability to implement effective interventions in vulnerable communities and a desire to become a regional leader in brain health. A specific level of education is not required however, applicants should have completed a “terminal degree/training,” meaning have pursued the highest degree or training they wish to obtain in their particular field. - Polikoff Gautreaux Fellowship: Impact for Equity hires a recent law or policy school graduate each fall to become a Polikoff-Gautreaux Fellow for a two-year term, beginning the following fall. Fellows do not create stand-alone projects but instead are fully integrated into Impact for Equity’s staff as attorneys and policy analysts. After completing their service at Impact for Equity, Polikoff Gautreaux fellows have pursued successful careers in affordable housing law, legal aid, civil rights advocacy, nonprofit leadership, and government. Fellows receive an annual salary of $59,000 with medical and dental coverage. - NGA Visiting Senior Fellowships: Leonard A. Lauder, Paul Mellon, and Ailsa Mellon Bruce Visiting Senior Fellowships are intended to support research in the history, theory, and criticism of the visual arts (painting, sculpture, architecture, landscape architecture, urbanism, prints and drawings, film, photography, decorative arts, industrial design, and other arts) of any geographical area and any period. Fellowships are for full-time research, and scholars are expected to reside in Washington, DC, and participate in lectures, colloquia, and informal discussions that complement the fellowship program.
