Sponsored by the Stanton Foundation
The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) is seeking applicants for its 2025–26 Stanton Nuclear Security Fellowship. The fellowship offers younger scholars studying nuclear security issues the opportunity to conduct policy-relevant research at CFR’s New York or Washington, DC, offices. CFR awards up to two fellowships annually.
The fellowship begins in September 2025 and runs for twelve months.
CFR has a long-standing commitment to making the foreign policy community in the United States more representative of American society as a whole and actively seeks fellowship candidates from diverse backgrounds.
Program details, eligibility requirements, and the online application can be found at: https://www.cfr.org/fellowships/stanton-nuclear-security-fellowship

Fellows are considered independent contractors rather than employees of CFR and are not eligible for employment benefits, including health insurance.
